Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is a gastrointestinal condition characterized by an imbalance between microbial colonization of the colon and small intestine.In healthy individuals, there are few microorganisms colonized in the small intestine, while those with SIBO experience an overgrowth of bacteria. Signs of SIBO are associated with gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea or constipation, gas, bloating and bloating, nausea and abdominal pain.
