Non-alcoholic liver disease, commonly known as 'fatty' liver, is characterized by the accumulation of fat in the cells of this organ, affecting people with little or no alcohol consumption.
What is ‘fatty’ liver?

In more advanced stages of the disease, it can cause symptoms such as unexplained fatigue, pain or discomfort in the upper right abdomen, abdominal swelling, enlarged blood vessels just below the surface of the skin, yellowing eyes and skin (jaundice).
